Abu Dhabi Foodies (“we”, “us”, the “Platform”) operates abudhabifoodies.ae, a food discovery service for Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, and the associated Instagram account @abudhabifoodies. You can contact us at contact@abudhabifoodies.ae.

By accessing or using the Platform — including the AI chat, restaurant listings, maps, deals, and any submission forms — you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. We may update these terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the current version, and continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.

The Platform is an informational discovery service. It helps you find restaurants, dining offers, and food experiences in Abu Dhabi. It is not a booking service, a party to any transaction between you and a venue, and not an agent or representative of any restaurant. Any reservation, order, payment, or visit you make is solely between you and the venue.

Listing a venue on the Platform does not mean the venue endorses, sponsors, or is affiliated with us, unless a partnership is expressly labelled as such.

The chat feature uses artificial intelligence to generate responses. AI can and does make mistakes: it may state incorrect opening hours, prices, menu items, availability, or other details, and may occasionally describe venues or offers inaccurately. Always verify important details directly with the venue before relying on them.

In particular, never rely on the Platform for allergy, dietary, halal, alcohol-free, or other health- or religion-sensitive information. Ingredient lists, preparation methods, and certifications change and can only be confirmed by the venue itself. If you have a food allergy or specific dietary requirement, confirm with the restaurant directly every time.

Venue details (hours, prices, menus, photos, locations, ratings, “open now” indicators, and similar) are compiled from public sources, third-party data providers, and user submissions, and are refreshed periodically — not in real time. They are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Venues change hours, close, and withdraw offers without notice.

Deals shown on the Platform are provided for information only. Unless expressly stated otherwise, offers are made by the venue, not by us, and remain subject to the venue’s own terms, availability, and confirmation. A venue may decline, amend, or withdraw an offer at any time. We are not responsible if an advertised deal is unavailable, has changed, or is honoured differently than described. Verify any offer with the venue before visiting.

Where the Platform lets you submit content (deal submissions, recommendations, or other material), you confirm that your submission is accurate to the best of your knowledge, lawful, and does not infringe anyone’s rights. You must not submit false offers, misleading information, content that is defamatory or offensive, or material you do not have the right to share.

By submitting content you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce, adapt, publish, and display that content in connection with operating and promoting the Platform. We may review, edit, decline, or remove any submission at our discretion, and we do not guarantee publication.

You agree not to:

• use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in breach of UAE law;
• scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Platform, or use automated means to access it beyond ordinary search-engine indexing;
• attempt to probe, disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the Platform or its systems;
• use the AI chat to generate abusive, defamatory, or unlawful content, or to circumvent its intended purpose;
• submit false, deceptive, or infringing content;
• impersonate any person, venue, or our team;
• resell or commercially exploit Platform content without our written consent.

We may rate-limit, suspend, or block access at our discretion to protect the Platform and its users.

We compile venue information from publicly available sources, licensed data providers, and community submissions in order to describe and factually reference venues. Venue names and trademarks are used only to identify the venues concerned (nominative use); no affiliation or endorsement is implied, and all trademarks remain the property of their owners.

If you own or manage a venue listed on the Platform, you may at any time request that we correct, update, or remove your listing, any photo, deal, or other content about your venue. Email contact@abudhabifoodies.ae from an address associated with the venue (or provide reasonable proof of authority) and identify the content concerned. We aim to action verified correction and removal requests promptly, and in any event within 7 days.

If you believe any content on the Platform infringes your copyright, trademark, or other rights, use the same contact with the subject line “Takedown request”, describing the content, its location on the Platform, and the basis of your claim. We will review and, where justified, remove or amend the content promptly.

Deals attributed to a venue can be corrected or withdrawn on request through the same channel. Paid partnerships or featured placements, if any, are governed by a separate written agreement and are labelled on the Platform.

The Platform displays content derived from third-party sources, including mapping and places data, photographs, and public web content, and links to external websites (venue sites, Google Maps, Instagram, and others). Third-party content belongs to its respective owners. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of external sites, and linking does not imply endorsement.

The Platform’s own content — including its design, branding, editorial text, curation, and software — is owned by or licensed to us and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may use the Platform for personal, non-commercial purposes; any other use requires our prior written consent.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss of data arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Platform, or from reliance on any content on it — including AI-generated responses, venue information, and deals. Your sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the Platform is to stop using it.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable UAE law, including liability for fraud or gross negligence.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your submissions, or your misuse of the Platform.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform (in whole or in part) at any time, with or without notice, including for breach of these terms or to protect the Platform, its users, or third parties.

These terms are governed by the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates and the laws of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as applicable. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Abu Dhabi, UAE.

If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Platform.
